Privacy policy

This policy covers gst-calendar.niveshsahayak.in and the other Nivesh Sahayak document tools on niveshsahayak.in addresses ("the tools"), run by Nivesh Sahayak.

The short version

What you type into the tools (your business details, customers, items, bills, logos and signatures) is kept only in your browser on your device. We do not have an account system, we do not receive your documents, and we cannot see or recover them.

Where your data is kept

• Saved records are stored in your browser's storage for niveshsahayak.in, in one shared place at my.niveshsahayak.in, so all the tools can use the same customers and items. If that place can't be reached, a tool keeps the data in its own browser storage and moves it there later.
• An unsaved draft is kept in your browser so a reload doesn't lose your typing.
• Backup files you save, and any folder you choose for auto-save, are on your own device or cloud drive. We never see them.
• Clearing your browser's data for these sites deletes the saved records in it. Keep a backup file.

Outside services the pages use

• Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) for the typefaces.
• cdnjs (cdnjs.cloudflare.com) for the QR code library.
• assets.niveshsahayak.in for the shared site credit.
• share.groupchaton.com for the list of sponsor cards, with pictures from Google's Blogger image servers. A sponsor card is a plain link: we do not share anything about you with sponsors. If you click one, the sponsor's own privacy policy applies.
• WhatsApp or your phone's share menu, only when you press Share.
• The hosting service (GitHub Pages) receives the usual technical details of every web request, such as your IP address and browser type, to deliver the pages.

These services receive only what a browser sends when it loads a file. Your documents are never part of those requests.

Password-locked backups and files for your accountant

A backup locked with a password is encrypted in your browser (AES-256) before it is saved. The password is never stored or sent anywhere; without it nobody, including us, can open the file. A file made with "Send to your accountant" is built on your device and handed on by you (share menu, download); we never receive it.

Google Drive sync (only if you turn it on)

On my.niveshsahayak.in and app.niveshsahayak.in you can choose to keep your data in step through your own Google Drive. When you press "Connect my Google Drive", Google asks you to allow the permission "See, edit, create and delete only the specific Google Drive files you use with this app" (drive.file). With it, these pages create and update one file, nivesh-sahayak-sync.json, in your Drive, and read it back on your other devices. They cannot see any other file in your Drive.

• The connection runs from your browser straight to Google. Your data and your Google sign-in never pass through any server of ours, and we cannot read the file.
• The Google data is used only to keep your records in step between your devices. It is not used for ads, not sold, not shared and not used to train any model.
• The sign-in lasts about an hour and is kept only in the open page. "Stop syncing on this device" withdraws it. You can remove the permission any time at myaccount.google.com › Security › Third-party connections, and delete the file from your Drive.
• Use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Cookies and tracking

The tools do not set advertising cookies and do not show Google ads. We may count visits with a privacy-friendly counter that uses no cookies and no personal profile.

Children

The tools are meant for business use by adults.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted on this page with a new date.
